Apacer's SAFD 254 employs its proprietary stacking technology, which supports the widest range of operating temperature by as much as 128GB compared to all other available industrial SSD solutions in today's market. With the highly reliable NAND SLC memory, the SAFD 254 is capable of superior ead/write speed, making the product extremely suited for use under tough environments where stability and durability are especially important, such as for military Rugged Book, aeronautics and aviation, as well as oil well drilling.

Apacer's SAFD 254 utilizes the superior global wear leveling technology, which manages the uneven “wear” on the sectors of a flash media memory by distributing the writes through whole sectors of the flash media to extend its life cycle. In addition, the built-in S.M.A.R.T technology provides users with interface that allows instant display of key information including spare blocks and erase counts, which reduces the risk of sudden disk damage and proactively notify customers to backup system and data. Also, the built-in low power detector initiates cached data saving before the device's power supply is too low. Such intelligent power failure recovery function prevents the system from data damage or data error due to sudden power outage, providing superior data security.
